Roll up! Roll up! For all the fun of the Fayre

The Big Top is the theme for the Blackmore Village Fayre this bank holiday Sunday and Monday, and SNAP is the headline charity. It promises to be a fabulous and fun event so don’t forget to join in!
This annual Village Fayre has been held every two years since it began 40 years ago, and just keeps getting better and better. There is a packed programme of events that offers something for the whole family so if you are looking for what to do over the bank holiday weekend then the Fayre has much to offer.
Sunday 28th May
10.30am – 11.15am Open Air Church Service – Bull PH Garden
12.30pm Carnival Parade departs from the Village Hall to the Arena on the Green
2.00pm – 5.00pm Fun and Games – Arena
2.20pm The Harlow Steelband
2.40pm Blackmore Players present a taste of their forthcoming production
12.30pm – 3.00pm Ploughman’s Lunch – St. Laurence Church

2.00pm Children’s Cupcake Competition – Village Green
2.45pm The Fayre Raffle Draw – Village Green
3.15pm The Bike Ride – Closed Road Circuit
Games and Stalls include: Homemade Preserves, Cupcakes, Tombola, Pottery, Hook-a-Duck, Coconut Shy, Plants, Sweeties, Fudge & Candy Floss, Tin Can Alley, Crafty Goodies, Beauty Products, Zipper Dipper, Furniture, Face Painting, Crockery Smash, Hoopla, Raffle and more!
Refreshments are also available on the Green over the two days and include: BBQ, Hog Roast, Baps and Baguettes, Cakes and Ice Cream. Teas will be served from the Blackmore Tea Rooms, Megarry’s Antiques at Jerrico Cottage, the Baptist Church and St. Lawrence Church.
For a great selection of beers and wines there are several pubs in the village: The Leather Bottle and Leather Bottle Beer Tent in ‘The Bull’ Garden, The Prince Albert and the Sports and Social Club Beer Tent.
