Get involved

Your support means we can continue to provide vital activities and services which help local families; see how you can make a difference

With help SNAP can continue to support Essex families who have any special need or disability, as it has been doing for the last 24 years. Kind–hearted individuals throughout the county helped to make a positive difference to more than 2,666 families last year, and already 221 new families so far this year.

There are lots of different ways to get involved with SNAP including fundraising, raising awareness and volunteering. All of them can bring positive benefits to the individuals who give up their time and money too. SNAP cannot continue its essential work without our supporters. We recognise this support and appreciate it whether it is financial, or through your time in volunteering or fundraising on our behalf. We can keep you informed of the charity’s work and development for as long as you wish.

“I’ve been a member of SNAP for many years, they’ve helped and listened to me when I’ve struggled or needed guidance with all of my children. I’ve attended coffee afternoons, activity sessions and training events with speakers helping with issues such as transitions to secondary school, dyslexia courses and new DLA forms. At work we’ve also raised money for SNAP, keep going you’re doing a fantastic job and changing so many lives in Essex.”

Barleylands Sponsored Fun Walk

Sunday 2nd September

A great family fun afternoon with a choice of a 5km walk, or a 1 mile stroll raising money for a host of charities including SNAP.

Donations

SNAP has to raise more than £600,000 each year if it is to continue our current level of support. And of that figure, we need to receive around £468,000 this year in voluntary donations. Every little helps!

Volunteer

Our volunteers help us make us what we are – whether it’s helping out at our centre or supporting one of our many activities; it’s very rewarding for everyone involved

Other ways you can support SNAP

Whether you are an individual, community organisation, business, school or anyone with an interest in our work, we welcome your support
