SNAP Specialist Library

Our specialist library, based at The SNAP Centre, contains a variety of books, easy reference information sheets and DVDs, that are free to borrow over a four week loan period. The extensive range of resources are of use and interest to anyone concerned with special educational needs and disability.

The library is open for general browsing during session times, however if you would like some guidance from one of our parent advisers an appointment is required.

Appointments can be made via our telephone or email helpline. If you know of a particular book you would like to borrow it can be reserved via our helpline for collection or posting when available.

If you are struggling to find time to get down to the centre, our array of information sheets can be emailed on request.

If you have a resource that you need to return outside of opening hours, there is a secure post box situated outside the building.

“Our grandson loves coming to SNAP. Everyone is so friendly and helpful and we have made good use of the library. Thank you so much.”

“Just to say thank you so much for lending me this book. It has been very helpful and it is great to have an insight from another person’s perspective. I have actually brought a copy now so I can refer back to it.”

“The reading material that you have given me is amazing as I can relate to it completely, and coupled with stories of other parents experiences I don’t feel so alone.”

“Thank you so much for your help today, I’ve found the guidelines useful and your tips equally as important.”
