SNAP on a Thursday

For parents/carers and pre-school children with additional needs and their siblings

This pre-school session gives parents a chance to chat with each other or get support from SNAP parent advisers whilst their children play alongside. Children will have access to a wide variety of toys as well as the centre’s specialist facilities. Volunteers are on hand to help and pre-school aged siblings are also welcome to attend the sessions.

Thank you to the Brentwood Borough Council, Axis and SAIL for helping to make these pre-school sessions possible.

               

SNAP on a Friday

(Previously known as Funtastic Fridays)

For families with pre-school children with additional needs

A small music session led by a trained music therapist.

Music is used to help support the development of interaction and life skills. The sessions aim to encourage concentration, listening, turn-taking, memory and co-ordination, as well as self-awareness and self-confidence.

Little Stars – Holiday Session

(Previously known as Diddlies)

For families with pre-school children with additional needs and their siblings

These popular sessions run at various times during the school holidays and must be booked in advance. Children can access all of the centre’s specialist facilities as well as having fun with toys, crafts and messy play. During the sessions parents/carers can have fun with their children, relax with other parents, use the library or speak to a parent adviser.

SNAP would like to thank St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation, The Charles S French Charitable Trust, Matchroom Sport Charitable Foundation and The Tula Trust for their support of holiday sessions at SNAP.

We’d also like to thank Chelmsford Star Co-op Community Fund, the Douglas Allen Estate Agents Charity Fund, the Saffron Community Fund, and the W G Stacey Family Fund which are administered by Essex Community Foundation for also supporting holiday sessions at SNAP.
