From Meze to Melody: Turkish Flavours Fuel Fundraiser

SNAP was excited to be back at The Mesken, raising funds and awareness of the variety of services and support available to families who have a child with any additional need or disability.

Over the past 30 years, SNAP has developed a range of services in response to the needs of the whole family including a variety of therapeutic and developmental sessions for children, Information Network and Online Directory, specialist talks, and Helpline which provides an essential listening ear for parents and carers.
At The Mesken the community came out to enjoy a gorgeous two course meal and live entertainment with a philanthropic twist. Fundraising Manager, Sara Clifton said, “It was a fantastic night! The food was so delicious and the portions were very generous. We started with a mixed hot platter which had something for everyone on it. I was particularly partial to the sigara boregi, a crispy cheese roll, and the calamari.”

Vocalist Carol Harper
While guests tucked into the best of Mediterranean and Turkish cuisines, Carol Harper serenaded guests with classic soul and pop hits. Sara added, “Carol is just sensational and hugely talented. She really made the night a lot of fun, sharing silly stories and getting people up on the dance floor. She always brings such a spark to these events!”
By the end of the night just over £3,000 was raised for SNAP. Karen Boath, SNAP CEO said, “We are enormously grateful to all our guests for their incredible generosity. This is a huge help, especially as the number of families turning to SNAP continues to increase. The funds raised will ensure that SNAP can continue to be here for families across the county.”
