Get muddy at SNAP’s Mighty Mud Challenge

We are encouraging families and local businesses to participate in this returning muddy fundraiser.
We are returning to Nuclear Essex on Saturday 20 June. The event, which takes place in Kelvedon Hatch, is an action-packed 90-minute mud obstacle course filled with slides, rope ladders and swings, obstacles, and wading through muddy trenches.
It is open to individuals, families, and teams, with children aged 6 and over welcome to take part.
Lauren Stebbing, SNAP’s Events & Community Fundraiser, shared: “We are so excited to bring back SNAP’s Mighty Mud Challenge at Nuclear’s Wild Forest. Families and friends are always looking for fun things to do together, and this is the perfect choice, it’s muddy, active and guaranteed to make you laugh. As it’s Father’s Day weekend, it’s also a brilliant excuse to team up with your dad and take on the challenge together!”
Participation is £20 for children (6-15 years) and £30 for adults (16+). More details can be found here. This is to cover costs of participation along with a SNAP t-shirt and a finisher’s certificate.

We are also encouraging participants to fundraise vital funds for their services. The charity provides emotional and practical support, tailored to the needs of each family. This includes activity sessions, counselling services, bespoke face-to-face support and a telephone and email helpline.
Lauren continued, “This event is not just for families, it’s a fantastic opportunity for corporate teams to get involved, build team spirit and do something a bit different together. Even better, every climb, crawl, slide and muddy splash helps raise vital funds to support SNAP and the families we work with across Essex.”
Team corporate packages are available with entry for five team members and recognition on SNAP’s social media. There are also multiple sponsorship opportunities for local businesses to show their support and get involved in this messy fundraiser.
CEO, Karen Boath, participated in the charity’s last mud challenge in 2022 at Nuclear Essex. She commented “It was a fantastic experience and if I can do it anyone can! It is a great opportunity to have some fun, get muddy and raise awareness and funds for SNAP.”
