United by a Common Goal: Hutton FC & SNAP Charity

SNAP and Hutton Football Club join forces to Support Local Families and Champion Inclusion Across Essex.
This new collaboration will harness the power of football to bring people together, raise vital funds and awareness for SNAP, enhance wellbeing and create meaningful opportunities for children and families.
The initiative will combine Hutton FC’s strong community presence with SNAP’s expertise in supporting families to deliver inclusive opportunities that help children thrive, strengthen local networks and create lasting positive impact across Essex.
One of the first major projects will be a celebrity charity football match in May 2027, bringing together players, supporters and local families for a day of football, entertainment and fundraising. The event will raise vital funds for SNAP while increasing awareness of the charity’s work across Essex.
Alongside the match, the organisations will explore a range of community initiatives, including working with local providers to expand opportunities for children and young people with additional needs to access football, alongside wellbeing-focused football sessions for SNAP dads.
Karen Boath, CEO of SNAP, said:
“This collaboration is a fantastic example of what can happen when local organisations come together with a shared purpose. By combining our expertise with Hutton Football Club’s community reach, we can create opportunities that help children, young people and their families feel welcome, connected and included. We’re excited about what we can achieve together.”
Kevin Lorkins, General Manager and Trustee of Hutton Football Club, said:
“Football has always been about more than what happens on the pitch. It’s about bringing people together and supporting the community around us. We’re proud to collaborate with SNAP and look forward to creating opportunities that make football more inclusive while raising awareness of the incredible work the charity does for families across Essex.”
The collaboration marks the start of a long-term relationship, with both organisations committed to using grassroots football to support local families, strengthen connections and promote inclusion across Essex.
