Staying vigilant to your children’s online safety is crucial
Think you are informed about Stranger Danger? SNAP’s upcoming presentation on Online Safety will turn your thinking on its head.
18th October 2017
This presentation will take parents on an uncomfortable journey where they will be left questioning the current perspective they have about their children’s safety.
Unlike other internet safety events this talk will not be covering issues like password security or blocking software. The aim of the event, which will have an emphasis for children with special needs, is to bring parents totally up-to-date regarding the apps their children are using and how they are being directly targeted.
It will be presented by The 2 Johns who have a combined Police service of more than 50 years, and have vast experience of delivering presentations within schools and parent and teacher events. The 2 Johns wrote and present the ‘Walk Online Roadshow’. This is a presentation for children that was inspected by OFSTED last year and was singled out by them earlier this year as being an example of National Outstanding Practice. They have now delivered the roadshow to more than 80,000 children throughout Essex and continue to receive outstanding reviews.
At the end of the presentation parents should have a greater understanding of what their children are currently doing online and a much better chance of keeping them safe.
