Tri Sport Essex (TSE) have chosen SNAP as the chosen charity recipient for the first Try-A-Tri event in Brentwood! This event is suitable for first-time triathletes including a short swim, cycling and running challenges at the Brentwood Centre. Alongside the athletics and cheering on the competitors, families can enjoy funfair rides, bouncy castle, face painters, animal handlers, DJ and food stalls. Plus, it’s totally free to attend!
Children can swim, cycle and run on site at The Brentwood Centre. Adults can do the same, but with the option to ride on the roads depending on their confidence and ability levels.
Please note, British Triathlon rules apply as the adult bike leg is on open roads.
Try-A-Tri Adult Triathlon Event (16yrs+) – £15 + booking fees
– 200m pool Swim
– 10km Cycle on flat roads (with sections of closed roads)
– 2km Run on sports field
Try-A-Tri Adult Duathlon Event (16yrs+) – £15 + booking fees
– 1km Run on sports field
– 10km Cycle on flat roads (with sections of closed roads)
– 2km Run on sports field
Try-A-Tri Junior Triathlon Event (9-15yrs – age as at 31/12/23) – £5 + booking fees
– 100m pool Swim
– 3km Cycle on sports field
– 1km Run on sports field

TSE is a Triathlon club that has been established for 30 years, a club for people of all skill levels, from wanting to stay fit in a fun and socially based club, to competitive European level athletes. They have regular training sessions for swimming (Brentwood School Sports Centre), cycling (usually Tuesday and Sunday) and running (various Park Runs).
