SNAP is pleased to welcome Liz Cole, Multi-Sensory Impairment consultant teacher from national charity, Sense.
Liz will be discussing a range of strategies to develop communication, independence and play in children and young people with multi-sensory impairment and/or complex disabilities.
Strategies will include:
- The use of routines to develop anticipation
- Total Communication
- The use of touch cues, object cues and objects of reference
- The use of hand under hand techniques
- Active Learning and creating interactive environments with resources such as a Little Room and Resonance Board.
