Independent autism trainer and consultant Geoff Evans will be returning to SNAP to present a follow up to his talk on holistic approaches to challenging behaviour and meltdowns.
He will discuss what contributes to challenging behaviour in autism, and provide a range of practical strategies that support with challenging behaviour, meltdowns and shutdowns.
The focus of the talk is to understand that behaviours in autism are complex and require a holistic approach that addresses each component of the behaviour and support the person as a whole.
Geoff has over 30 years’ experience working with children and adults with autism, as well as their parents, carers and siblings.
He has worked in a variety of setting including autism special schools, mainstream provision, children and adult residential services and community based support.
Over this period he has also become a renowned national and international trainer and conference speaker in all aspects of autism and in particular behaviour which challengers
