Dogs for Good
Dogs for Good runs local workshops for families who want to buy a pet dog to help their child with autism.
Overview
Dogs for Good is a national charity that provides trained assistance dogs to adults and children with disabilities including autism.
The charity also runs Family Dog Workshops which provide parents of children with autism with the advice and long-term support needed for choosing and training a dog to benefit the whole family.
Following the workshops, ongoing support is available to families that qualify including telephone support, online resources, and a private Facebook group.
See their website for details and dates of local workshop opportunities.
