Overview

Partners in Policymaking (Eastern Region) is a leadership development course for disabled adults (self-advocates) and parents of disabled children up to school leaving age. The course covers: history of disability; education; whole life planning; supported living; employment; assistive technology; policy development; and advocacy. Participants meet for two days per month, for 8 months, which includes an overnight stay. The course, all meals and accommodation are free of charge.
