ACT (Aid for Children with Tracheostomies)
ACT (Aid for Children with Tracheostomies) is the leading national organisation for children with tracheostomies. ACT is run by parents of children with a tracheostomy and by people who sympathise with the needs of such families.
Overview
ACT is a Charity set up to help and support families who care for a child with a tracheostomy.
Aid for Children with Tracheostomies (ACT) was founded in 1983 and is run by a commitee of volunteers who have all had experience of caring for a child with a tracheostomy.
ACT offers encouragement, support and practical advice to families facing a trying time after their child has had a tracheostomy.
The charity’s intention is to complement rather than replace the statutory provisions of the medical and community services.
