Overview
AbilityNet is a national charity whose aim is to make the benefits of using computers available to disabled children and adults.
AbilityNet has a number of services that support a wide range of users – from members of the general public looking for help with their technology to digital professionals advocating for accessibility best practices within their organisation.
Through its network of centres, AbilityNet provides specialist help for people with a disability to enable them to use a computer at home, in education or in employment.
A helpline is available from 9am to 5pm each weekday, but is closed for lunch from 12.30pm to 1.30pm daily.
A series of courses and workshops are run on the potential of computers to empower disabled people, and professionals in health, education and special needs.
