The SEN Co

Empowering children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), aged 0-7, to thrive in school, nursery, and home environments, through tailored strategies, interventions, and collaborative support.

Overview

At the SEN Co, they provide comprehensive support for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), focusing on children aged 0 to 7.

The support extends across home, school, and nursery settings, ensuring a consistent and tailored approach.

They work closely with families and educators to implement individualised strategies designed to meet each child’s unique needs. These strategies may include the use of visuals, PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), sensory play, communication techniques, modelling, musical communication, intensive interaction, Attention Autism, and more. The goal is to foster development and engagement, helping each child thrive in their environment.

The SEN Co runs SEN sessions one hour a week for a block of six weeks. You can join the SEN Co team at Woodcroft Nursery in Chelmsford where they will work on different topics over the six-week block and we will be focusing on fun, connection, and development. Parents can take the opportunity to engage, learn and connect with their children in a supportive community.
