POhWER operates two advocacy services in Essex. Independent Mental Health Advocacy and Citizen Advocacy under the Care Act.

Independent Mental Health Advocacy is for people who have been sectioned under the Mental Health Act.

Citizen Advocacy under the Care Act is for people living in Essex, over the age of 18, who are eligible for social care support.

Both services are free, confidential, help people to understand their rights, be treated as equals and be heard.
