Providing nursing care for children and young people with a health need in their own home or the community, including training and support for families and carers.
Overview
A community nursing service to children and young people, with a primary aim to prevent hospital admission, attendance and length of hospital stay through supporting a family to care for their child at home or within their local community.
They deliver the Children’s Community Nursing Service to people’s homes and clinical locations throughout the Mid Essex area.
The service is for children under 16, registered with a GP in the NHS Mid Essex area, who have a health need requiring nursing support, or children under 18 years if they have a complex disability and remain under the care of a consultant paediatrician.
