Children and Young People with Disabilities Service (CYPD) – Essex County Council supports children and young people aged 0 to 25 years who have special educational needs and / or disabilities and their families.

The 0 to 15 Social Care Team supports disabled children up to 16.

The 16 to 25 Social Care Team will take over support.

The Preparing for Adulthood Advisers work with young people who have an EHC Plan at key transition stages between the ages of 13 and 25.

CYPD Occupational Therapists work with children and young people who have a substantial and long-term disability which makes day-to-day activities difficult.
