Mooki Wellbeing – Kids SEN Support for Parents and Teachers
A range of 10-minute activity cards and worksheets for children aged 5 to 12 with special educational needs.
Overview
Mooki Wellbeing creates simple, calm activity cards and worksheets for children aged 5 to 12 with special educational needs. There are packs for ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyscalculia, speech and language needs, and anxiety, and every activity takes about 10 minutes.
Mooki was started by Collette Costello, a SEN mum and teacher. When her daughter began falling behind at school, she couldn’t find straightforward things to do together at home that didn’t end in frustration, so she made her own.
The cards are designed for the everyday moments families and school staff deal with most, such as a child who can’t focus, has a meltdown, or won’t start their work. Each card has three clear steps on the front, a short activity on the back, and a note on the research it’s based on, so parents, carers and teaching assistants can pick one up and use it straight away with no preparation or specialist knowledge.
The resources work at home, in the classroom or in one-to-one support sessions, and are a gentle way to build focus, confidence and calm.
Many are free to download from the website.
