Applications for a SNAP charity place close at 5pm on 31st July 2025

Official Ballot – Don’t forget to apply for a London Marathon ballot place as well!

We highly recommend that even if you have applied for a SNAP charity place, you also apply for your own place through the official ballot.

The ballot typically opens on the London Marathon weekend and closes after just a very short period of 7 days!  So, please keep a close eye on https://www.londonmarathonevents.co.uk/london-marathon and enter the ballot as soon as it opens.

If you are selected for a SNAP charity place, and are then successful in the ballot, please accept the ballot place and notify SNAP as soon as possible, so that we can allocate your charity place to another runner. Please contact us at [email protected] or on 01277 245345

Please rest assured you will still receive the same first-class support from SNAP whether you have a charity place or your own ballot place and choose to run for SNAP.

When will I hear if I am successful?

Applications close for a SNAP charity place at 5pm on 31 July 2025.  ALL applicants will be notified no later than 31 August 2025 as to whether their application was successful.

If you are successful in securing a charity place, we will be in touch with you. Once you have received this confirmation and paid your £100 registration fee, you will receive further instructions by email.

If you are successful in the official ballot, you will be notified sometime in June/July directly by the organisers of the London Marathon.

You will also receive an Official Programme and registration form directly from the organisers whether you have a SNAP charity place or your own ballot place.

Already have your own ballot place?

If you have already secured your own spot in the London Marathon 2026, you can still run and fundraise for Team SNAP and use your place to ensure families across Essex have the help they need.  Please do let us know you are running for SNAP by contacting us at [email protected] or calling 01277 245345.

If I have a SNAP charity place or own ballot place, how will SNAP support me?

Whether you run with your own ballot place, or a SNAP charity place, you will get first-class care!

You will receive:

  • A free SNAP running vest
  • A dedicated team at SNAP for support, fundraising materials, ideas and tips
  • A team WhatsApp group to chat with other SNAP runners (if you are happy to share your contact information)
