Essex Deaf Children’s Society is a totally voluntary organisation supporting deaf children in Essex up to the age of 20. The members consist of parents, professionals and other people with an interest in supporting deaf children and their families across Essex.

They provide help for families with newly diagnosed deaf children by phone or email.  They also aim to work with families to promote independence.

The society aims to create positive images of deaf children and to encourage deaf awareness within the family and the community.
