Reel Impact Angling
Supported fishing sessions for children, young people and adults in Burnham-on-Crouch.
Overview
Supported fishing sessions for children, young people and adults to develop fishing skills and support emotional wellbeing and confidence.
The project operates under The Essex Hub CIC which is dedicated to improving wellbeing, connection and inclusion across Essex.
Private angling coaching is skills-led, confidence-building, and tailored to the individual. These sessions are paid and booked directly.
Coaching sessions are suitable for:
* Children and adults new to angling
* Those wanting to build confidence at their own pace
* Neurodivergent individuals who benefit from 1:1 support
* Anyone who prefers learning by doing, not talking
Outreach and wellbeing sessions are delivered as part of their commissioned and grant-funded work through The Essex Hub CIC.
These sessions are designed for people who:
* Are emotionally overwhelmed or dysregulated
* Are out of school or struggling in traditional settings
* Are not in crisis, but are not coping brilliantly either
* Benefit from routine, calm, and predictable outdoor environments
Sessions are referral-based or accessed via self-referral, subject to suitability and funding availability.
