Occupational Therapy Essex offers independent therapy services for children with motor difficulties.
Commonly assessed conditions include developmental delay, Developmental Co-ordination Disorder (DCD) including dyspraxia, hypotonia and hypermobility; diagnosis is not necessary.
Assessments can be carried out for an individual child or for groups of children for handwriting, fine and gross motor skills, dressing, feeding, toileting and visual perception.
Training and information sessions for parents can also be arranged.

Abi Johnson also runs the Get Ready Club. These groups help prepare pre-school children for school in fun parent and child sessions. While aimed at children without difficulties, children with additional needs are welcomed to the groups.
