Their workshops are aimed at anyone from beginners to more experienced creatives. You just need to be prepared to relax and enjoy the process of creating. \nWho are They? \nCreate Yourself Calm sessions are facilitated by an art teacher and two experienced counsellors who share a passion for the crossover between creativity and self-care. We’re here to help you make the most of your me-time. \nWhat happens on the day? \nThey will provide you with a starting point to get creative\, linked to a mindful moment and let you explore the materials and to enjoy the process. You may end up painting\, cutting\, collaging or doodling – there are no rules! \nDon’t worry if you’re a beginner as we have some great tricks for producing some colourful creative work and also suitable to more experienced creatives to try something new and experiment. \nThe main aim is to enjoy the process and to forget about organising home life/work/what to cook for dinner etc. for a couple of hours. DESCRIPTION:Introduction to Interoception\nApril 29 – 10.00am to 12noon at The SNAP Centre\n \n\n		\n	\n\n	\n		\n			\n\n		\n	\n\n	\n		\n			\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this Specialist Talk\n\nDoes your child or young person find it difficult to know when they are hungry\, full or thirsty? \nAre they unsure if they need the toilet until they 𝘶𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺 need the toilet? \nWould they wear a jumper in a heatwave or shorts in a blizzard? \nIf so\, they may have differences in the way they notice\, interpret and respond to signals about what is happening inside their body. This could be connected to their interoceptive awareness. \nThis workshop presentation\, facilitated by Occupational Therapists Helen and Jenne\, will be in two parts: a presentation on interoception\, followed by a Q&A. \nYou will find out more on what interoception is and the role it plays in identifying physical and mental feelings/emotions early to enable the timely use of strategies to address them. \nPlease note that\, while tips and tricks will be provided on how to address these issues long-term\, unfortunately\, there will be no quick-fix solutions. DESCRIPTION:Try-a-Tri\nSunday 28th June 2026 – 8am to 12pm\n(Local event)\n \n\n		\n	\n\n	\n		\n			\n\n		\n	\n\n	\n		\n			\n		\n	\nTri Sport Essex (TSE) have chosen SNAP as the chosen charity recipient for the fourth year running for their Try-A-Tri event in Brentwood! \nCome and try these bite-sized fun events with 2 or 3 of the elements of Swim Bike and Run. These events are for everyone and will allow you to build your confidence in a fun and welcoming environment. If you’ve ever considered the idea of taking on a triathlon\, then this is a great taster challenge\, TRY it out with the full support of trained athletes and the local community cheering you on. \nThis event is suitable for first-time triathletes including a short swim\, cycling and running challenges at the Brentwood Centre. And if one of the disciplines isn’t for you\, you can still take part in just two\, as event organisers are also running a duathlon again for adults and juniors. \nFor spectators there will be entertainment and refreshments available so everyone can have fun while cheering on their loved one’s sporting endeavour. \nPlease note\, British Triathlon rules apply as the adult bike leg is on open roads. \nTry-A-Tri Adult Triathlon Event (15yrs+)  \n– 200m pool Swim \n– 10km Cycle on flat roads (with sections of closed roads) \n– 3km Run on sports field \nTry-A-Tri Adult Duathlon Event (15yrs+)  \n– 3km Run on sports field \n– 10km Cycle on flat roads (with sections of closed roads) \n– 1km Run on sports field \nTry-A-Tri Junior Triathlon Event (6yrs+)  \n– 50m pool Swim \n– 5km Cycle on sports field \n– 1km Run on sports field \nTry-A-Tri Junior Duathlon Event (6yrs+) \n– 1km Run on sports field \n– 5km Cycle on sports field \n– 1km Run on sports field \n  \nStart times \nChildren (6+) at 8:45am \nAdults (15+) at 9:30am \n  \nVolunteer opportunity! \nWant to get involved but don’t want to compete?
