This webinar is designed to empower parents with practical knowledge and strategies to help their young person build confidence\, skills\, and independence as they move toward the world of work. \nWe’ll explore: \n\nReadiness for Work While in Education:\nHow schools and colleges can help develop employability skills early\, including work experience\, vocational learning\, and building independence.\nPathways to Employment:\nUnderstanding supported internships\, accessible apprenticeships\, and other routes that lead to meaningful work opportunities.\nFinding Employment:\nTips for navigating job searches\, engaging with employers\, and accessing local and national support services.\nMyth Busting:\nChallenging common misconceptions about what young people with SEND can achieve in the workplace and clarifying the support available to them and their families.\n\nThis session will provide clear\, actionable advice and highlight real-life success stories to inspire confidence and optimism. DESCRIPTION:24 Hour Kitchen Disco\nSaturday 19th October-Sunday 20th October – 9:00 am to 9:00 am\n \n\n		\n	\n\n	\n		\n			\n\n		\n	\n\n	\n		\n			What is the 24 Hour Kitchen Disco? \nDuring COVID lockdown SNAP started a special Facebook Live session – SNAP Radio – on Friday mornings featuring Emily Grimes\, our resident Music Therapist. Emily’s amazing talent\, the interaction and requests on the chat\, and the relaxed and welcoming feel of these sessions helped families to stay connected throughout the pandemic. \nDuring one of these sessions Emily had an amazing idea – what if we did this for 24 hours? So they did! On 5 March 2021 the feed went live and families\, friends\, supporters and people from across the county tuned in enjoying a variety of music acts\, videos and games. We raised a phenomenal £13\,000! \nNow we want to do it bigger and better than ever before but we need your help! This event will be a celebration of our community and SNAP’s 30 years of supporting Essex families. What better way to do it by inviting everyone to join in for a boogie?! \nWe will be LIVE\, streaming from The SNAP Centre from 9AM\, 19th October – 9AM\, 20th October. \n  \nHow can I get involved?\n\nPERFORM – We’re want to include as many local\, talented groups as we can in our 24-hour stream. If you/your group are interested in appearing LIVE please email fundraising@snapcharity.org!\nSPONSOR – We’re looking for companies and/or individuals to sponsor each hour of our disco! Starting from £100 sponsorship of an hour gives you:\n\nYour logo on screen for the designated hour\nA short commercial – we read off a short promotional ad for your business or any messages you want to share\nYour logo and link to your website on this page\nSpecial social post during their hour\, tagging and thanking you for your support.\n\n\n\n\nDONATE – We are hoping to smash the amount we raised last time. To encourage people to give generously we have special incentives:\n\n£10 buy a song – Purchase a song ahead of the event to guarantee your request is played!
