Your support makes all the difference

The SNAP Team are all still busy working from home and connecting with our families via phone, email, Zoom and Facebook. We are doing everything possible to ensure families have the help they need to endure this challenging time as well as empower them for their next steps.
We are still actively fundraising and we hope we can count on your support in the difficult months to come. Here’s just some of the ways that you can help ensure our essential work continues…
Is your place of work or local organisation offering fundraising opportunities for charities?
If there is a scheme that you are able to apply for on behalf of SNAP we can provide you with lots information and resources to assist, such as our ‘SNAP in 60 seconds’ Information sheet that details what SNAP does, our values, services and activities, lists some of our current support and has that all important charity registration number.

Calling all cycling enthusiasts!
The first ever virtual Prudential RideLondon is happening next month. The 8th Prudential RideLondon was due to take place on 15th and 16th August, instead the organisers are encouraging people of all ages and ability to get on their bike, trike, scooter, skateboard, or tandem and take on a sponsored challenge for charity. It’s your ride, your way!
STEPtember Together
Join SNAP this STEP-tember as we embark on an incredible virtual journey together! The annual Barleylands Fun Walk has gone virtual for 2020, and the SNAP Team are hoping everyone will join forces to celebrate this great fundraising event that raises thousands for local charities each year – and of course we have dreamed up a fun SNAP twist!
We hope to encourage our fabulous supporters to pledge to walk/trike/wheelchair/pushchair any distance of their choosing during the month of September. The steps/miles that everyone ‘clocks up’ will then be added together and we will see how many miles we have collectively achieved. How far can we travel together from our SNAP Centre base in Brentwood. Can we collectively reach Paris (284 miles way)? Can we get even further to Madrid (1,066 miles away)?
The Fun Walk Trust organisers are hoping families will join in during September and have once again pledged to add to any sponsorship raised by individuals. Last year for every £100 fundraised the Fun Walk Trust added £50.
