You can do at home or in your local area, anywhere, any time – whether you decide to run or walk around your garden, swim in your local pool, cycling on the streets or on a static-bike. The choice is yours!

Climb The Eiffel Tower
Standing proudly in the center of Paris, the Eiffel Tower dominates the skyline. At a whopping 1,063 feet tall (324m) taking the stairs to the top isn’t a challenge for the faint of heart. Without the use of elevators the journey from the esplanade to the very top would see you climb a staggering 1,665 steps! An average UK home staircase has 13 steps, can you climb your stairs at home 128 to complete this challenge?

Tour de Essex
Can you cycle the 2,156 miles that required to complete this challenge? There’s no fixed route or time limits, just get on your bike and explore the sites of the wonderful county of Essex. Why not stop for a few photos on the journey. If cycling on the roads isn’t for you, you can complete the challenge on a static bike at home or at the gym.
Conquer the Nile
The River Nile is traditionally considered the longest river in the world and possibly the most well known.
Measuring a staggering 4,132 miles in total, completing this challenge isn’t going to be easy! But, at least you don’t need to worry about the ‘SNAP’ of the Nile crocodiles!

Escape from Alcatraz
Alcatraz is located 1.25 miles (2011 metres) from the shore of San Francisco. Unfortunately, we don’t have a Ferry to get you there so you’ll need to swim. Can you complete to 1.25 mile swim at your local pool for SNAP? Don’t forget to keep an eye out for the sharks!

Trek the Inca Trail
The Inca trail is one of the most well known treks in the world. Surprising the journey across the trail is only 25 miles long! What makes so so challenging is the elevation, which at the highest points reaches a staggering 4200m.
For this SNAP Challenge use a fitness app to measure how much evelation you can climb on a 25 mile walk. Can you meet SNAP’s very own explorer Sam at the top?

Row the English Channel
The English Channel linking Dover to Calais covers a distance of approximately 25 miles or 40,000 metres!. For this SNAP Challenge can you row your way to our European neighbors? Not a keen rower? Why not swim it instead.
Walk the Great wall of China
The Great Wall is a must for our Virtual Challenge page. Before we challenge you the conquer the full distance we will be warming up with the Badaling section of the wall. The Badaling Great Wall in Beijing is the best-preserved and most complete section of the wall. The total length of this section is 7.5 miles, can you conquer the first section of the wall and receive your first Great Wall passport stamp?

London Underground Challenge
The London underground tube network is the fourth longest tube network in the world with a total length of 249 miles.
For this SNAP Challenge can you travel 249 miles? You can walk, cycle, run or even roller skate your way to the finish. Which line will you take on first? Central? Circle, District? However you decide to complete this challenge is up to you.

Built to guard the wild northern frontier of the Roman Empire in AD122, Hadrian’s Wall is almost 80 miles in length from the North Sea to the Irish Sea. It is estimated that the wall took around 15,000 men about 6 years to build. To complete this challenge, can you and 15,000 of your closest friends build an 80 mile wall in just 6 years? Just kidding!… For this challenge can you cover the 80 miles across the width of the country? Walk, run, cycle it’s up to you to decide how to earn this passport stamp.

SNAP’s Weald Park Challenge
The SNAP team have created a lap around the stunning Weald Country Park. With a mix of beautiful scenery, wildlife and forestry there really is no better way to get out and complete a challenge.
The lap will see you climb hills and navigate uneven terrain in the aid of SNAP.

SNAP vs the M25 – Team Challenge
With the SNAP Centre just a few miles away from the M25 many of our staff and supporters will have no doubt spent many an hour sitting at a stand still wishing they could get home.
It’s now our turn to defeat the M25 and this time we’re in control of our journey.
Can you get a team together who can travel the 117 miles of Motorway without stopping? There’s no limit of the number of team members who can take part, in fact the more people involved the less distance you need to travel each! Walk, run or cycle and together your team can defeat the M25 with SNAP.

SNAP to Legoland
Our day trip to Legoland is always a great day out and is enjoyable annually by a number of our families. To make up for missing last years event we have included it in our new Virtual Challenge Page! The challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to travel to Legoland Windsor as a family. Can you family complete the 62 mile journey to Legoland?
SNAP to Colchester Zoo
Every year the SNAP family team plan a trip to Colchester Zoo. Unfortunately due to Covid-19, last year’s trip couldn’t go ahead. As the trip is one of the most enjoyable days of the year for every involved we have decided make the trip virtually instead! Colchester Zoo is 37 miles from the SNAP. Can your family travel a combined mileage of 37 miles to reach Colchester Zoo. That is works out to 9.25 miles each for a family of four!

SNAP’s Christmas Light Up Walk
Since …. SNAP have been at both the Brentwood and Shenfield Christmas Light Up’s. The events are both key dates on the events calendar and our Virtual Challenge page wouldn’t be complete without acknowledging these key events. The SNAP events team completed the walk from Brentwood High Street to Shenfield High Street in 41 minutes. Can you match them and walk for 41 minutes without stopping?
