This is a rare opportunity to hear Professor Tony’s talk as he only visits the UK a few times a year\, so please book early to avoid disappointment. \nSNAP seminars for families and professionals presents: \n9.30am-12.30pm \nSpecial Interests: The origins of the special interests and the use and misuse of the interest \nThere appears to be several stages in the development of special interests and the presentation outlines the developmental sequence and the reasons why specific interests occur as part of the overall profile of high functioning autism. He currently works in his own private practice in Brisbane. \nHis book Asperger’s Syndrome – A Guide for Parents and Professionals has sold over 350\,000 copies and has been translated into over 25 languages. His subsequent book\, The Complete Guide to Asperger’s Syndrome\, was published in October 2006 and is one of the primary textbooks on Asperger’s syndrome. He has several subsequent books published by Jessica Kingsley Publishers\, Future Horizons Inc. and Guilford Press. \nTony has been invited to be a keynote speaker at many Australasian and International Conferences.
