The Js Charity serves to deliver dedicated events for young Essex adults (16 to 40) with life limiting and life-threatening conditions that will aim to bring fun, friendship, and support for all.

As a child with a life limiting condition enters their teens and early adulthood they will move from children’s services to adult services. Transition is often a very worrying time both for the young adult and their family.

Adult services are very different from children’s and The Js Charity provides a vital social service for young adults who may be going through transition, or have already gone through it. When leaving children’s services many young adults lose friends and peers and The Js Charity encourages young adults to socialise with other young people in similar situations.

At Js Days, they provide music therapy, complementary therapy, arts and crafts and a safe space just to be themselves, while parent carers receive support.
