Joy Baker took part in the Thames Bridges Challenge last year with her husband Ian and relished the opportunity to give to her local community. “I’ve known about SNAP since it began in 1994 as I know the charity’s founder, Hilary Needham.
More than 30 pre-school children were treated to a range of activities including face painting, arts and crafts, as well as songs from one of SNAP’s resident musicians Maggie. Firm favourites among the guests were the springy fun of the bouncy castle in SNAP’s specially designed outdoor play area, and the messy fun of cake and biscuit decorating!
As eating is a subject families can often find challenging, SNAP was thrilled to welcome Tanya Cotier, an autism and social communication specialist teacher, to the centre last week to deliver a training session on helping families with difficulties they may experience with food and eating.
