NACC (National Association for Colitis & Crohn's disease) offers information and support services to people living with colitis and Crohn's disease, their families, friends and health professionals. NACC operates the Smilie's People Network, which is a national network of individual families who have a child living with inflammatory bowel disease. Parent to Parent is a confidential telephone support service that offers parents of children with IBD the opportunity to talk to a NACC parent volunteer who has had personal experience of caring for a child with IBD. The Information Line is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 1pm. The NACC in contact supportive listening service is open Monday to Friday 1pm to 3.30pm and 6.30pm to 9pm. Support with claiming Disability Living Allowance can be arranged by contacting the information line.

NAS VOLUNTEERING NETWORK - PARENT TO PARENT SCHEME is a 24 hour support service for parents and carers of anyone on the autistic spectrum. You can call free from a landline and a volunteer will then phone you back at a time that suits you. The service is provided by trained parent volunteers accross the UK, who are all parents of a child or adult on the autistic spectrum. They have a wealth of experience, knowledge and insight and can talk through any issues, problems or feelings that can be experienced. They know what life can be like for families affected by autism and want to do something to support others in similar situations.
