KIDS IN NEED is a registered charity founded in 1982 by a small group of friends who came together with the common aim of helping children affected by one or more disabilities. Since 1988 most of their energies have been channelled into raising money to make dreams come true for children aged 3 to 19 years who are either terminally/seriously ill or suffer from multiple disabilities. KIDSCAPE is the registered charity committed to keeping children safe from harm or abuse. Kidscape is the first national children's charity which focuses upon preventative policies and tactics to use before any abuse takes place. Kidscape has practical, easy to use material for children, parents, teachers, social workers, police and community workers. Kidscape also organises conferences and workshops. The Kidscape parents anti-bullying helpline gives advice to parents of bullied young people and is open 10am to 4pm weekdays.
