Hilary Needham, the SNAP Manager, runs the charity supported by a small staff and 85 volunteers. Many volunteers have been at SNAP for a number of years, working with the parent and pre-school children group.  Currently we have volunteers working with our children and young people's activities, both during term time, after school and school holidays.  Some volunteers help with office duties and others support "Friends of SNAP", the local fundraising arm of the charity. Ten trustees sit on our Executive Committee, which has a balanced mix of parents of children with disabilities and members of the community with experience in finance, business, law, education and disability.

SNAP's services have grown rapidly over recent years because we have responded to the needs of Essex families. This development of our services led to the need for our recent move to larger and more suitable premises in order that we can continue to provide a lifeline to parents and carers of children with special needs and disabilities.
