SNAP has 85 committed volunteers working on a regular basis and over 200 voluntary hours are worked each week. Volunteer roles include supporting parents and children at group activities such as the pre-school children groups and the after-school or holiday sessions; cataloguing and duplicating material for the specialist library; and helping with office duties. Many volunteers work hard for "Friends of SNAP", our local fundraising arm. The Queen's Golden Jubilee Award for voluntary service by groups in the community (awarded to SNAP in 2003) recognised the outstanding achievement and contribution of our volunteers.
